In cyberspace, the identity of entities in commercial transactions is also ensured by the technical implementation of security and authentication. However, daily identifications by consumers are based on visual, auditory, and other perceptual aspects. Furthermore, the explosion of technologies that mechanically generate information goods has led to a debate on the attribution of profits derived from the creation.
This symposium will examine the relationship between business and identity from a variety of perspectives, including these issues.
